Our Work & Travel Program is designed for those who want to immerse themselves in Canadian culture and see all the beauty that Canada has to offer while also working hard.

What is a support staff role?
A support staff role at a camp includes a variety of behind-the-scenes jobs that help keep the camp running smoothly.
These roles don’t typically involve direct camper supervision like a counselor’s job but are just as essential.

Earn pocket money
During your Camp Placement, you will earn compensation for your work. With Camp Canada, all Work & Travel Participants will earn a guaranteed minimum amount, as outlined below:
$3200 - minimum compensation for 12-week placement
You're eligible if:
18-30 years old by June 1st
A student or intend to be within one year of travel to Canada
Availability starting between May-June with a minimum of 12-week work requirement
You have a clean criminal background
Qualify for an IEC or have another visa that allows you to work in Canada
Proof of $2,500 in your bank account (at least 1 week before your travel date)
Good English skills (Conversational level)

I think camp is a really nice experience as you have the opportunity to meet new people and experience new areas in which you can apply your knowledge, and also to learn new things. In my daily life I do not work in kitchens, but here I am learning lots of new activities and enjoying meeting new friends and just everything that's involved in the camp experience.

Will I get time off during my placement on the Work & Travel Program?
Yes! Every camp schedule will differ, we recommend you ask your camp what their time off schedule is like. You will usually have a day off per week to unwind at camp or explore the local area or towns. Your time off may be divided into half days as well
Can I choose what camp I work at?
You can't choose your camp outright, as each Camp Director has the ultimate say over the staff they hire. In order to help you find the right camp, we've allowed you to set your preferences in your profile. When Camp Directors come across these preferences, they'll reach out, and you can decide when to accept and confirm your placement at a camp!
Where are the camps based?
Most of our camps are in Ontario, but some of the camps are located in Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta.
What is the accomodation like at camp?
Each camp will have unique accommodations, so the best thing to do is explore the camp types you're interested in and then ask your Camp Director any questions you have during your interview.
