3 Ways to Get Hired with Camp Canada
1. Join our Hiring Pool
Our hiring pool is the main way to get hired and connect with Canadian summer camps. Once you reach the ready-to-hire stage, your application will be visible to hundreds of camp directors actively searching for their summer staff.
How it works:
- Complete your Camp Canada application and reach the ‘Ready to hire’ stage. Once you are in this stage, your application will be visible in the pool.
- Camp directors who are currently hiring will search the pool for participants who match their hiring needs
- Camps will reach out to you directly and will put you ‘on review’ if they're interested in your profile
- You'll receive notifications when camps want to connect with you
- You can only speak with one camp at a time and offers will also be made one at a time
Top Tip: To maximise your chances while waiting for camps to reach out, we recommend creating a showcase or updating your camp preferences, skills or widening your availability. To make changes to your camp preferences, skills or availability, please reach out directly to our Community Success Team.
2. Attend Online Hiring Fairs
Throughout the season, there are additional opportunities to increase your chances of getting hired by taking part in one of our Online Hiring Fairs. These Online Hiring fairs are the most accessible way to meet and interview with camp directors over a few days.
No matter where you are in the world, you can easily participate and get involved (as long as you have WiFi, of course!). Best of all, you're in control. You get to choose which camps you want to request interviews with and book interview times that fit your schedule!
3. Watch out for In-Person Hiring Fairs
In recent years, we've hosted In-Person Hiring Fairs in the UK. These events usually happen in January and are free to Camp Canada participants, allowing them to meet and interview directly with camp directors face-to-face. They're a great chance to make a strong first impression and often lead to on-the-spot job offers. Plus, they offer the opportunity to meet the Camp Canada team and connect with other participants who are also heading to camp.
