Can I Apply for Camp Canada with a Friend?
So, Can I Be Placed at The Same Camp as a Friend?
The short answer is no. We cannot guarantee placements together with your friend or partner.
Placement decisions are up to camp directors based on their hiring needs. Each camp has different requirements, and directors pick participants who fit their open positions. Even if your friend gets hired at a camp, you might not have the skills for the roles available there.
Apply Separately and Meet Up After Camp
Even though you can't go to camp together, you could apply at the same time as your friend. You'll likely be placed at different camps, but you'll both be working in Canada. Once your placements finish, you could plan a trip to explore the country together.
Going to Camp Alone and Making New Friends
We encourage participants to attend camp alone. It's a great way to step outside your comfort zone and build confidence. Working at camp is one of the best ways to make lifelong international friends. Remember, you won't be the only one arriving without knowing anyone. Most participants are in the same position, which makes it easier to connect and form friendships quickly.

To join, you must have a Camp Canada application and be confirmed at a camp for summer 2026.
While we can't guarantee you'll work at the same camp as your friend, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the country together. Whether that's through post-camp travel or your new friends from camp. Your summer in Canada will be unforgettable, regardless of where you're placed or who you're with!
